Top Online Teachers is connected to Tutorwithus.com and it looks like they used to be 51FreeTalk (not the same as 51talk!) but that website is now down. They are looking for native speakers or freelance foreign students (aged 22-45) to be teachers to Chinese children (aged 6-18) available during peak Beijing times (4pm-10pm, Monday – Sunday). The base rate they offer is 10$ lower than it is written here. I started in Jan and had only 1 lesson. My team manager was Jenny a lady who doesn’t speak English well at all. When I asked the school can I have some other manager they said it is impossible to change.
Anyway, she said that she will try to get me more classes and I never heard a word from her or the school again. And now is March…
Also, the materials they used are Engoo so I don’t recommend them at all.

This is such a scam and a dirty business!
I was supposed to start working there but I didn’t like it at all.
They were called 51freetalk. They changed the website and the name but I checked the teachers and I recognize the one who interviewed me. The logo design is THE SAME, it’s like they just generated the logo online.
First I spoke with an Asian lady who talked with me while having a dirty mess in her room. Not professional at all.
Then she redirected me to a teacher from their staff who lives in Serbia but on his profile he was from Chicago.
1. The teachers are ALL from Eastern Europe! The information is ALL fake! They are REQUIRED to invent a personality and lie that they are native speakers in order to earn money.
2. They had a bunch of children studying there and they SHARED the books via google drive – they DON’T have licence for the books they are using so that is another reason for a lawsuit.
AVOID it at all cost!
