Stop Using Paypal

Paypal is from another time. It’s outdated fintech and expensive. As an online English teacher I used Paypal to receive money from overseas. For years I paid them to convert Euros to Canadian dollars. Before Wise I was forced to pay their horrible exchange rates. Here are the exchange rates from Paypal and Wise both taken on November 4th, 2026.

You lose approximately 3% of your paycheck by using Paypal instead of Wise. Wise is better than Paypal. They offer the real mid-market exchange rate for 40 currencies including the Canadian Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Philippian Peso, South African Rand and many more. Here is my link to sign up with Wise. Stop losing money to Paypal, there are better options. I have heard Resolut is also better.
