Liulishuo is an audio only English teaching platform, they have an app as well. It looks like they accept non-native English speakers. Their hours are from 10am to 11pm Beijing time. They pay somewhere from $8 – $18 USD per hour.

Just another disgusting Chinese online school with no respect for teachers or their students. The materials stink and are full of spelling mistakes and terrible grammar, an embarressment to teach!
The system is full of bugs which constantly cause errors loading the classroom and problems for the student to see the ppt or hear the teacher. IT do little to nothing to actually help and you are blamed for the problem.
Their pay rate sucks and they expect a professional teacher with qualifications but are only willing to pay less than someone can earn in an unskilled job like a cleaner in the West.
I have had enough of this place and teaching full stop. If I am only going to be paid peanuts then I will take a peanut job thanks. I do not see why I should switch on my brain when I can be paid more for doing far less. Only a complete idiot would continue to work here and it won’t be long before it goes the same way as every other greedy and manipulative Chinese school and closes down. Likely not beofre screwing everyone on the payroll and disappearing off with their earnings.
ESL IN CHINA IS DEAD. IN FACT ESL IS DEAD. I won’t teach again I’d sooner do anything else but this mind destroying job anymore.

I worked for them for 6 months. In the beginning I really enjoyed working for this company. However, you are expected to give ‘detailed’ feedback in 5 minutes before the next lesson. This was unrealistic and I ended up using a lot of my personal time providing feedback which you do not get paid.
I only received one low rating during my 6 months working for this company, yet a received an email stating that I needed to improve my teaching skills. That was the last straw for me because I felt they did not appreciate all my hard work and all the five star ratings I had received. I decided not to renew my contract with them.
I would only recommend this company if you are new to teaching English online. I enjoyed the teaching platform and the students I worked with. I also liked the fact it was audio only. However, there are better companies out there that value their teachers far better than this company.

I have worked for them for 1.5 yrs. I actually liked the fixed schedule and the fact hat you got aid whether the student showed up or not….however, with just 2 weeks notice I received an email stating they were ending my contract due to ” business adjustment and low utilization”…in other words too many teachers and not enough students. Many teachers were let go before I received my notice, but since I have “seniority” I was able to stay on a little longer than the others. I do not think they are hiring right now,

Terrible company. They are very strict with your rating regardless of what kind id student you get or what may have made a student give you a 4.8 out of 5.0. Yes, they require you to get a 5.0 rating for each class. They will always try to find ways to cut the pay and never live up to the contract that you sign.
Don’t work for them if you want a staff that treats you with respect and honors agreements.
