Learntalk Review
Learntalk is based in Manila. They provide language training to individuals, corporations, institutions and other language schools around the world. They are currently focused on students in Latin America. Teachers can work as much or as little as they like. Learntalk does hire non-native speakers. They have 3 different teacher categories: Language Tutors, Experienced Instructors, and Professional Teachers. Language tutors get paid $4-5 USD per hour (C1 level needed), Experienced tutors will make $8-10 USD per hour (C2 level needed and two years of teaching experience), and Professional Teachers can make $15 USD per hour (with a CELTA/TESL certificate, C2 level and 4 years experience).

I once worked for LearnTalk and it used to be a good company. However, I had challenges with receiving my payment and contacting the LearnTalk team proved fruitless as they chose to ignore my emails.

I currently work for LearnTalk and I can say that so far I had very little problems. The paying system stated is correct and they always pay you on time.
The students are mostly from Europe and Vietnam. I don’t think I had even 1 student from Latin America.
They don’t require any experience or degree as long as your English is clean, neutral and with no grammatical mistakes.
They have their own materials. 🙂
