BedaKid or BetaKid <—– (Click here to Apply) is a Chinese company that is hiring now (June 2021). They want teachers who are eligible to work in the USA, Canada and the UK who have a university degree, a TEFL certificate and 1 year of teaching experience. They teach children ages 5-16 in 1 to 1 classes. They use “edutainment” as a teaching method according to their website. Peak teaching time is from 5pm – 9:30pm (Beijing Time). They want you to open at least 40 hours per month and to keep your schedule fixed (not flexible). Classes are 25 minutes and they pay with Paypal. They pay between $14 and $17 USD per hour with bonuses for attendance. Email:

Middle aged Mutant
Bedakid or Betakid pay their American/Canadian/Australian teachers between $14 and $17 USD per hour with bonuses for attendance. If you are a South African you only get paid 8$ an hour. Besides this, you will not have many classes. Better to work part time for them or even better, avoid them completely.

I am a well qualified Englishteacher with 40 years of experience teaching Indian and black Pedi speaking students English First language. I majored in English at the University of Pretoria and did a post graduate diploma. I received an award for the highest average in my Provence in2017 just before I resigned. I am concerned because one of the reviews said South Africans are paid less. Can you please let me know what my renumeration will be and if you would consider me. I also have a B. Mus Honours degree and used songs and games to teach Afrikaans speaking toddlers English
