My contract just ended with the company because they lowered my hourly rate saying that another company took over. I really like this company because you do get a lot of bookings if you teach well but I think the booking system has changed over the past two months. So, you have to work on weekends to full up your weekday slots. They want you to work on weekends and there are zero incentives. I think this is a great company to start off with but they need to pay the teachers more.

Absolutely incompetent rude impolite boneheaded management and staff. I worked there for a long time students were great bookings were fine management staff incentives there whole philosophy of doing business absolutely boneheaded incompetent people.

No people skills At all. They have no concept of how to run a business and I can tell you I am semi retired from business in I’ve spent 30 years in internationalI’ve never seen such a ridiculous bunch of clowns running that circus.

Granted the company has all the ingredients to be great. But they can’t see it and the ownership has never had a big company like this before in his entire life so the blind leading the blind.

I reapplied to see what they offer me – Here is what I got: “In regards with the salary:Starting offer is at $10 to $15 USD which will be based on the CV screening and demo class. Monthly incentives and rate increasing will be discussed by your team leader before starting teaching.” (I am based in Ireland)

Hmmmmmm, I was paid $13 per hour by them. It wouldn’t surprise me if they pay people based on location though. Not sure if I’d recommend them, for various reasons.

This is not an online school only. Am I right?
“ABC360 also makes sure that all of their office-based teachers will have their own laptop, headset and web camera in addition to their very own mini-office where they can focus on giving quality lessons to their students free from any worries or distractions.”

What they mean by “you have your own mini office….ETC” is that they put you in a divided office booth for an 8-11 hour shift. I worked for them in Thailand for a while. More like “Fast Food” teaching.

I worked with them for a while in Thailand. They had us all teach in a large, open room that was divided into little cubicles. They provided computers that were used and shoddy, (I brought my own in.) They didn’t legitimize their company with the Thai government instead, they “farmed out” our work permits to an established school. Long and short of it; we all got arrested by Thai immigration. Some teachers were forced to stay in Thailand until their trials. I only had to stay a night in jail since I had all my “papers in order.”
I think they have a large “teaching factory” in the Philippines that still works this way. From what I know, the $15 + – P/H only applies to teachers in the U.S. Even though
from the States and have a TOEFL,I was just a “2’nd tier” teacher and was payed $4-5 P/H I stuck on with the job after the “office” was closed. I had a lot of students by
then and could just carry on from my domicile (the company owned computers were “confiscated” by Thailand, just days after they received brand new ones!?)
I could go on about the madness of their management but, suffice to say they sacked me after 2 years of 8-11 hour days because I “wasn’t efficient” enough for them.
