Kaifu

Kaifu English Review

Kaifu English is looking for native speakers from Canada, USA, Great Britian, Australia and New Zealand to teach Chinese kids from 3 to 15 years old in one to one classes. Teachers should have a bachelors degree, an ESL teaching certificate and teaching experience. If you don’t have experience they will train you. They have over 1000 students and it looks like they want teachers to commit to one year of teaching. It is not known how much they pay yet. Please email your resume and a short introduction video to recruiter@kaifuenglish.com. Tell them Mike from Good Air Language sent you.

  • I worked for Kaifu English via a third party recruiter for a year. I found them to be great. They filled my schedule up and were excellent at communicating and helping. I really liked that you were in control of your lessons so you could really tailor the materials to help each student individually grow. If you want to work for a small company where you fill valued then they are great. Sure they don't pay as much as the big companies, but at the same time you won't be dropped at the drop of a hat like you could be with the big companies. Pay is $10-15 per hour I believe now.

  • They will offer to train you and they do prefer native english speakers although the pay is very low for native english speakers. I was offered a role at the end of 2017 and they only offered about $5 for a lesson (about 25 minutes). As that was my first tutoring job, I happily took it for the experience although they had very little hours to offer and after constantly nagging them, received no reply in the end.

    Much better companies out there.
