  1. Hello,

My husband and I moved to the Dominican Republic for some time now. We loved the change of language communities and would love to stay here some years.
With this mind we have changed our internetconnection to widen out our workoptions.
Working online is the perfect possibility. With my TESOL certificate I could teach English ( French, Creol Hatian, Dutch) online.

Please let me know how or when my availability can be of use.

    Regards,

    Penny.

  2. We are excited to announce the release of our new platform that hosts English language courses online – both for hybrid and self-study modalities. ALTA English is well known around the world for our publications for teachers and language program administrators.

    1. Dear Good Air Language,

I am Daniel Demarmels, Chief International Officer of Enlai Total Educational Solutions in China. We were mentioned on one of your articles and we are extremely pleased with this line in particular: “has a good reputation (which is a little bit rare for a Chinese ESL company)”. The reason for this is that we are not an actual Online education provider, what we do is we partner with online teaching providers and use our leverage (fantastic teachers, our HQ’s in the UK, South Africa and the USA, and our strong organizational systems) to encourage Online companies to pay teachers more if they teach through us rather than directly though the online companies themself. Because we are a UK/Chinese company with International management and a strong business presence in China we can grant online teachers access to the Chinese market without all of the time differences, communication issues and autocracy that Chinese companyโ€™s and staff are at the mercy of.

We are not a soulless mega corp, we build our reputation through strong negotiation with local companies, hard work and teacher-centric business practice.

All teachers are welcome to join us if they have the necessary skill and dedication. All business are welcome to join us if they share our values.

      Warm regards to all,

      Daniel

      1. Good day,
I’m very interested in becoming an online teacher, however, I am pretty clueless about how to go about teaching English online. I have nearly six years of ESL teaching experience here in Thailand, teaching all ages from kindergarten through to high school and also a number of adult groups. Currently, I am at a local high school where I teach students who are aged from twelve up to seventeen years old.
Can you please give me some info about teaching online.
        Thank you,
        Peter Wissing.

        1. We (Dma1on1) are an online English learning school that has been established since 2006 and is based in Taiwan. We are currently hiring teachers. We offer only one on one classes from 6AM to 11:50PM (UTC+8). We are not a big corporation-like school but are organized and we have teachers that have worked for us for almost a decade and are still going strong. Teachers use provided textbook for classes and we offer free training for those who have no online teaching experience. Please feel free to apply via recruit@dma1on1.com if you are interested in joining our team.

      2. They don’t negotiate better contracts – Enlai takes a profit margin off the top when applying to companies of each hour the teacher gets paid. Teachers should just apply to the companies directly- You lose money through the middle man @ Enlai.

  3. No questions, no inquiries.

I always turn to your page whenever I need new information about the ESL world.

    1. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the kind words April! Glad I could be of help.
